How to Avoid Fashion Blunders:

Your appearance is probably the first thing that anyone will notice about it, and you want to make sure that you are presenting yourself in the way that you want to be perceived. Sometimes that can be difficult to do while sifting through all of the trends that come through every fashion season. So how do you do it?

One of the biggest fashion blunders that we see is showing too much skin. Remember less is more. Do not be tricked into donning see through articles of clothing, or clothes that have strategically placed cutouts. These will actually make you appear as though you are trying too hard, and can lead to negative first impressions.

There is one thing that everyone needs to avoid, and that is muffin top. That is where your pants are too tight and it causes your belly to billow out of the top of your pants. If your pants do not fit you then do not wear them. This type of fashion faux paux will only sabotage your overall look.

Speaking of fit, if your pants are too long then you need to get them tailored. You do not want your pants dragging underneath your shoes. Not only is this unattractive, but it can actually do quite a bit of damage to your pants. To fix this simply take them to your local tailor and they can adjust them so that you have the length that you want without sacrificing the bottom of your hem to damage.

Stains are never, never, never appropriate. If your shirt is stained it is time to get rid of it. This especially true for those shirts that have been stained by underarm sweat. That is truly unappealing, and though you may hate to part with your favorite shirt, there are great coupons out there from retailers that can help you replace it.

Mismatched skirts and tights can be disastrous. The fashion police will be chasing you if you mix white tights with a black skirt. A good rule of thumb is to take care to match your tights with the hem of your skirt. This will ensure that you are always looking polished and put together. Now tights are not cheap, so you will want to make sure that you keep them in good shape. Additionally, if you need to add to your collection keep your eye out for coupons from manufacturers as that can really help you to reduce the overall cost.

Keeping up with your hair color is also something that factors into your overall appearance. One of the things that will really take your look off track is severely overdue roots. Make sure that if you choose to get your hair colored that you are prepared to keep up with the expense and hassle of maintenance. For example, if you are deciding to go platinum blond, know that you are going to be spending a lot of money at your hairdresser to keep that color up. However, highlights will give you a similar look with less maintenance. The decision is yours, but if you are going for a higher maintenance color, be sure to keep an eye out for money saving coupons from your salon. These can make your hair care maintenance much more doable.
